NYC Protest: Let Food Into Gaza (7/28/25)

On July 28th New Jewish Narrative joined with partner organizations, including T’ruah and NYJA, for a protest outside of the Israeli consulate in New York to call for getting food into Gaza, for an end to the war, and for the release of hostages. We expected a small crowd of up to 100. (In fact, that’s what we put in the permit for the protest.) But the crowd was easily twice that size!

Together, we showed that American Jews strongly oppose what is happening.

The event ended when 8 rabbis engaged in an act of civil disobedience and blocked traffic. As the crowd chanted “let Gaza live” and “that’s my rabbi,” the rabbis were arrested by police.
