What is great about Donor-Advised Fund?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) acts as a charitable giving account for you or your family that is established and administered through a financial institution, community foundation or other charitable organization. You can contribute an array of assets including cash, stock, mutual funds and more to a DAF and can realize tax benefits in the same year contributions are made.  From the charity perspective it can save on transaction fees especially when compared to credit card donations.
