New Jewish Narrative Unequivocally Opposed to Trump Gaza Plan

February 5, 2025- We are horrified and appalled by President Trump’s reckless suggestion that the United States participate in the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza –a clear endorsement of ethnic cleansing. This proposal is not only morally repugnant but also a flagrant violation of international law.

The forced displacement of a population is a war crime. Any attempt to carry out such an atrocity would be an unmistakable crime against humanity, further destabilizing an already devastated region and inflicting unimaginable suffering on millions of people.

President Trump’s feigned concern for the humanitarian conditions in Gaza rings hollow. On the same day he made these remarks, he signed an executive order cementing the ban barring the US from funding UNRWA, the largest provider of humanitarian aid in the strip. This comes in the same week that his administration has gutted USAID, which provides vital support for humanitarian and peacebuilding initiatives in the region. These actions, taken together, expose the administration’s true agenda: not peace or stability, but annexation and exploitation.

The Gaza Strip is not an opportunity for our Real Estate Developer-in-Chief to further enrich himself and his cronies. It is home to 2 million Palestinian men, women, and children. We call on Congress to make clear that the US will not pursue this illegal and immoral action.”
