30 Years After Rabin: How His Assassination Shaped American Jewish Politics

This is a recording of a New Jewish Narrative webinar from November 4, 2025, hosted by Hadar Susskind.

NJN hosted a webinar with two leading voices in American Jewish thought — Letty Cottin Pogrebin, founding editor of Ms. magazine and longtime activist, and Sam Norich, former publisher of The Forward — for a conversation about how Rabin’s murder reshaped American Jewish politics, identity, and engagement with Israel.

At the time of the assassination Letty was president of Americans for Peace Now and Sam was a consultant to the Israel Democracy Institute. Both currently serve as NJN board members.
