No Kings Day 2.0

On Saturday, October 18th 2025, No Kings Day 2.0 took place in over 2700 locations in all 50 states of America (as well as several dozen solidarity protests internationally). Roughly 7 million people turned out to protest in-person, and thousands more supported in other capacities.

The message was simple: America has no kings, and her people will not stand for the dismantling of our democracy.

New Jewish Narrative was a proud partner organization for this nationwide protest. We believe in dignity, peace, justice, and equality—values that we share with the majority of Americans. And we marched shoulder-to-shoulder with other protest participants over the weekend, as the progressive community showed up to say that we believe in an America that stands not for hating the ignominious “other” but for loving our neighbors and speaking out against despotism and discrimination.

And it’s not over yet. No Kings was a beginning—a reminder that power belongs to the people, not those who would rule as despots. The work now is to stay connected, stay vigilant, and continue to push back where we can.

NJN board member Rabbi Esther Lederman joined other faith leaders on stage in front of the US Capitol in Washington, DC.

NJN board members and staff — including Joshua Malina, Karen Paul, Tom Feldman, and Hadar Susskind — shared some of their No Kings Day moments.
