NJN horrified by antisemitic killing of Israeli embassy staff in Washington

May 22, 2025 - Two Israeli embassy staff, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were shot and killed last night as they left an American Jewish Committee event at the Jewish Capital Museum in Washington, DC. 

We unequivocally condemn this act of terror. There is no justification for this vile act.

We mourn the loss of life. We note that one of the victims was a leader of people-to-people programs that bring Israelis and Palestinians together. 

“This is murder, full stop. There is no justification, no explanation, that makes this anything else,” said Hadar Susskind, President & CEO of New Jewish Narrative. “Everyone, regardless of their political camp, needs to condemn it unequivocally.”
