No Government Should Block Humanitarian Aid

The Israeli government’s use of humanitarian aid for leverage during the Gaza War has been an outrage. Nothing could be more immoral, and out of touch with NJN's values.

Senator Wyden crafted the Accountability for Withholding Aid and Relief Essentials (AWARE) Act with lessons from Gaza in mind. The bill would prevent governments from restricting aid anywhere in the world. When a country does block aid, this bill uses targeted sanctions to hold senior officials accountable.
