Loving the Stranger: Jews Against ICE

February 11, 2026 — NJN joined over 500 rabbis, cantors, and Jewish community members today for a protest outside of ICE Headquarters in Washington, DC.

We came out in response to ICE’s cruelty and to stand up for human dignity. We joined in song, prayer, and shofar blasts. Haaretz reported that this event was the Jewish community's most pronounced denunciation of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown to date.

The protest was led by our friends at T’ruah and Bend the Arc, and supported by 60 Jewish organizations. We were proud to be there together with young leaders from our partner organization, Habonim Dror North America.

People from across the country flew in for this protest, which was part of a broader Jewish day of action that included events in other cities, including Boston and Minneapolis.
